Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible to sit for Level I within 23 months of graduation.
- Eligible for Level II within 11 months of graduation.
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) for Level III.
If you already have a Bachelor’s degree, you can sit for all levels sequentially (Level I → II → III).
You can apply with 4,000 hours of professional experience (in any field, minimum 3 years).
- A combination of college education and work experience totaling at least 3 years (non-overlapping).

CFA Program Levels
To earn the CFA Charter, candidates must pass three exam levels that build expertise step-by-step.
CFA Level I
Question Format: 180 multiple-choice questions
Exam Duration: 4 hours 30 minutes (two sessions of 2 hours 15 minutes each)
Focus Areas: Investment tools, quantitative methods, financial reporting, and ethics
- Exam Style: Two 135-minute sessions with 90 questions each
CFA Level II
Question Format: 22 item sets (mini case studies) with 88 multiple-choice questions
Exam Duration: 4 hours 24 minutes (two sessions of 2 hours 12 minutes each)
Focus Areas: Asset valuation, equity, fixed income, and portfolio management
- Exam Style: Case-based scenarios testing deeper application of concepts
CFA Level III
Question Format: Mix of 11 item sets and 11 essay sets
Exam Duration: 4 hours 24 minutes (two sessions of 2 hours 12 minutes each)
- Focus Areas: Portfolio management and wealth planning
- Exam Style: Combines written (essay-type) and case-based questions
